April Fool's Roundup

Well, now we're safely past the day I can mention my favorites. When I was younger, I used to just hide from people on April 1st. But with the invention of the Internet, I don't have to. See, the Internet means there are people out there who will put WAY more energy into pranks than anyone in my circle of friends. This means we can all enjoy a good laugh without having to do any of the work ourselves or worry about retaliation.
And there were loads of good items to be found online. The Canadian Minister of Taxation's "e-file or else" plan, Beckham signing to a German team, and Boring-Boring: complete with an accompanying cease and disist by Cory Doctorow. But Tony found my favorite. Astronomy Picture of the Day, which I hit randomly when I want to remember how little I matter to the universe or I just wanna see a really cool picture. Their picture from April First: Water on Mars.
