Shooting the Horse to Prevent the Cart From Being Stolen

I poisoned myself today. No it wasn't a desperate cry for help or a Goth's idea of a fun Saturday night. I got a tetanus shot. That particular vaccine is filled with little bacteria toxins for my body to get all grr-ry at and smack around so should I accidentally happen upon a more virulent dose of it, I've already got a closet full of antibodies to help me out. After all, given my lifestyle I'm more likely to have a nasty run-in with an aging metal implement than not, so what the heck.
But purposefully having poison injected into your system is still weird.
