Luck of The Irish

Well things have gotten very interesting around Celtic Racing's ez-up this weekend. Yesterday morning a wreck damaged D'Antin Ducati rider Hoffman's hand and they flailed around for a substitute GP rider, coming up with little Chas Davies from Celtic. Rumor has it, he had so little time they didn't adjust Hoffman's bike for him and he rode in Ducati leathers with duct tape over someone else's name. Also, Chas has never ridden at Laguna in any class. Yowsers! Talk about your field promotion!
Other wildcards, in the "I might as well since I'm here already" category are Miguel DuHamel and Roger Hayden. I wonder how it feels for the oldest Hayden brother, knowing he's doing it mostly for kicks when his younger sibling took the title last year.
