Bayliss went back to Adobe yesterday for a neuter since he was a tad too aggressive for my liking. He's now recovering nicely and is already a lot more laid back. Let's hope it doesn't reflect in his namesake's performance on the track. However, it's done nothing for his World of Warcraft abilities. Bayliss has already earned membership in the Honorable Order of the Murloc for getting me killed by diving at my keyboard or mouse at inopportune times while I'm playing. Regularly- I don't know how he knows when to make a move. Last night, still groggy and half-asleep from his operation, he was curled up in a little polarfleece thingee next to me. He still managed to head-butt my mouse hand right at the top of an elevator. One corpse run later, he was recovering back in the desk cage. I swear he's got a sense for my WoWing, even when the sound is off.
Haga is the most sociable of the three, and he likes hanging with his brother Yates best. Well, no. He likes finding new places best but when stuck somewhere or sleepy, he seeks out his lil bro. While we were gone, the one incident Lynn had with them involved Haga. She shut them in, checked the doors and began to walk out of the room when a movement caught her eye. Haga was on top of the cage looking quite pleased and seemed astonished Lynn was less so. She now calls him the circus rat. Yates is still a bit shy, and his scoliosis gives him a much more defensive look than he really has, since his back always looks hunched. That's normally a sign not to put your hand near a rat. With Yates, it just means he's lying down. He's coming around, too. Once Bayliss is comfortably in the big cage I will get back to working with Yates. I think he will be quite the lap rat once he's older.
