I dunno about you, but I became a support member last year, when Pedrosa almost caused me heart failure because my husband screamed like he'd taken a shiv to the gut when Pedrosa took out Hayden and practically destroyed his chance at a world championship.
I re-upped today, and while Tony doesn't think Pedrosa was to blame, contact with him took out Hopkins who then slid into Hayden. (Nicky, since I have to clarify this race.) Hopper is now down two laps because of repairs and Nicky is riding in fourteenth, four below his brother Roger Lee in tenth.
Oh, looks like Nicky's pitted and called it a day. Criminey- what, if he can't win, he's just going to leave?? ;)
I think it's mechanical. Stoner, I believe is not only ahead but has won the race and is down at Cannery Row having drinks (or perhaps a Shirley Temple because he's what? Twelve?) while everyone spins through the last half-dozen laps, and Vermuelen is quite comfortably stationed in second. At least Rossi is still entertaining, in fourth and gaining on Melandri. Most of the excitement was up front on this one, folks. Yawn.
Huh, from TV it wasn't apparent (or, perhaps, obvious) that Pedrosa had anything to do with the Hayden/Hopkins lovefest. At least Hopkins didn't kick Nicky. ;)
