At my track day this Sunday, I'm going to ride with the spider, Red Spider that is. For a reasonable fee, these guys will produce a video of you riding around the track. They use a GSXR race bike that is bristling with video cameras to follow/lead you around. I just signed up for their "SportRider" package which includes 10 minutes of track time. I scheduled it for the afternoon to give myself time to become re-acclimated to the track, and to increase the odds that I'll be scraping knee on the video. Heh. I do have some experience with this from when I played hockey. Seeing myself play hockey video taught me that no matter how dynamic and spectacular you think the last move must have looked at the time, on the video it will appear as if you just twitched, or maybe had a seizure and fell down. Therefore, I fully expect my Walter Mitty/Valentino Rossi exploits on the motorcycle to appear as if I'm puttering around a library parking lot with my blinker on.
