My second track day of the year is coming up this Sunday. I'm much more relaxed about these things now, but the excitement is building. My gracious neigbor is loaning me his brand new bike trailer, so no mucking about with U-Haul this time. What a huge relief.
Stephanie surprised me today by buying me one of those popup-canopy tent things, otherwise known as an E-Z UP. If you are into track days, you know what this means. All the serious track day junkies have these things. When you make such an investment just so you can sit in the shade between track sessions, it means the addiction has really taken hold. God help me.
Ok. Quite probably your loving wife invested in the thing because she's actually going to be joining you this weekend. (Enlightened self-interest is a wonderful thing.)Perhaps it was something about spending the day in blinding 100+ heat that is Thunderhill in August that brought out the best in human nature.
Plus, I Tony smiles like an eight year old just given a dangerous toy when he gets something he really wants. I think that would make me a bad parent, but a good wife... ;)

Well, thank you anyway. I should point out there is a large air conditioned building at trackside. Hey, it's only 85° there right now.

But if I hadn't bought it, where would the "DangeRacing" logo fit?
