The weather has finally dried out and warmed up a bit, so I've been riding the Tuono to work this week instead of the V-Strom. The differences between these two bikes are pretty dramatic. The V-Strom feels like an enormous poofy pillow. It's plush, warm, and comfortable, which is great for cold morning commutes. The Tuono feels tight and hard like a stiff bar stool, and the motor is utterly intoxicating. Riding this bike is like hanging out a dive bar getting drunk, and watching strippers. Not that I have a lot of experience with that, but I think it's a little uncomfortable, and you feel a little guilty for being there, but you're kinda dreading having to go home. There's also this thrill of power and control, maybe it's like owning a dive bar...with strippers. No, no, that's not it. Maybe it's like being a stripper, working the crowd, everyone looking at you, wishing they could have you, or something like that.
Anyway, if the weather holds I can ride it at least one more day this week. Woot!
